The last wild horses
There are approximately 1,700 wild horses left in Alberta. And yet these are the only wild horses in Canada without any form of protections from government sanctioned culling. For decades these horses had been culled and removed from the landscape by being auctioned or sent to slaughter. We ask why this is necessary, especially when independent scientists dispute every single claim made by government and local ranchers about these wild horses.

Our love letter to the city of Vancouver. This series is a pet project, entirely funded by Kahani as a means of giving back to artists and community leaders who stand out.
Showcasing human experiences that happen in HCMA's facilities.
“We’ve had the delight of working with the creative minds at Kahani Pictures for several years now and feel absolutely confident in their ability to understand our marketplace and offer brilliant and unique ideas that speaks to the ethos of our brand. Being a multidisciplinary design firm, we put a lot of thought into our brand communications. With Kahani, we can be as hands-off as we like and know that they will get it right. You can’t say the same about a lot of other creative services."
Highlighting powerful mothers in Vancouver.
"I had been holding our origin story for 4 years, with the intention of sharing it only when I found a team that valued how we transformed through the trauma. From the first conversation, the KAHANI Pictures team was a match. Inder and Dani saw our humanity beyond the violence enacted upon us. They encouraged me to share the complexities in my history. As we spent days together sifting through moments and memories, I felt their priority was capturing our journey with care. This experience, for me, was a beautiful collaboration between storytellers."

We wanted to capture a poetry reading at our office featuring Shane Koyczan. Kahani filmed it like we asked, and then went above and beyond by adding visuals and music that we would never have thought of doing. They went way above-spec and delivered an incredibly powerful video. It gained over 100,000 views in the first week!
Inder was a pleasure to work with and more importantly he understood the vision and importance of our film. He is very professional, artistic in his own vision and executed our project seamlessly in a timely manner, meeting all deadlines while staying within the budget. I recommend him highly for any kind of filming whether it be a practical how to film or a story to be told.
I’ve worked with Kahani on several client projects and each time has been a great experience. One client did not expect to have such an emotional reaction to a video about their products. People were literally crying when the video was shown at the company retreat. This storytelling approach to corporate videos is a sure-fire way for businesses to stand out.
Our Central Communications team absolutely loved it and have been reposting and sharing it on social media since Monday after the video was formally introduced at the conference. From friends and colleagues, I often heard “wow, that makes me want to be a student all over again and go to SFU”. Kudos to you all for a fantastic job, and my deepest appreciation for your flexibility and willingness to collaborate under lots of constraints. Thank you.
I’ve spent over a decade as a video marketing expert in Vancouver for big brands and have come to realize something very important.
In this day of marketing automation and trend chasing, real artful storytelling is the most effective way to reach hearts and minds.
We are helping companies connect to their audience in a unique way – through impactful videos.
If you’re someone that appreciates the value in beautiful films, then we should collaborate.
